Need to cancel? We make it easy. Here's how it works and what happens to your server.
How to cancel
- 1. Log into your Realm.fun account
- 2. Open the server you want to cancel
- 3. Go to the Settings tab
- 4. Scroll down and click Cancel Subscription
- 5. Confirm your cancellation
That's it. No phone calls, no retention specialists, no hoops to jump through.
What happens when you cancel
Immediately
- - Your subscription is marked for cancellation
- - No more charges to your payment method
- - Your server continues running until the end of your billing period
End of billing period
- - Server is stopped and taken offline
- - Data enters a 7-day grace period
After 7 days
- - Server data is permanently deleted
- - This cannot be undone
Download your data first
Before canceling, download a backup of your world and configuration files. Once deleted, we cannot recover your data.
Reactivating your subscription
Changed your mind? You can reactivate anytime before the billing period ends:
- 1. Go to your server's Settings tab
- 2. Click Reactivate Subscription
Your server continues as normal with no interruption.
During the grace period
If your billing period has ended but it's been less than 7 days, you can still recover your server:
- 1. Contact support
- 2. We'll restore your server and reactivate billing
Pausing instead of canceling
Taking a break but planning to return? Consider these alternatives:
- - Downgrade: Switch to a smaller, cheaper plan temporarily
- - Download backup: Keep your world safe locally, cancel, and upload it when you return
Frequently asked questions
Will I get a refund for unused time?
We don't provide prorated refunds for mid-cycle cancellations. However, your server stays active until your paid period ends, so you're getting what you paid for.
Can I cancel multiple servers at once?
Each server needs to be canceled individually from its Settings page.
What if I have account credit?
Account credits remain on your account and can be used for future services. They don't expire.
