When to upgrade
Consider upgrading if you're experiencing:
- - Lag spikes: RAM is maxed out, especially with many players or mods
- - Player cap issues: You need more slots for your growing community
- - Mod requirements: Larger modpacks often need more RAM
- - World size: Bigger worlds with more chunks loaded need more resources
How to change your RAM
- 1. Go to your server's Settings tab
- 2. Click Change RAM
- 3. Select your new RAM amount (4GB, 8GB, 16GB, etc.)
- 4. Confirm the change
Your server will briefly restart to apply the new resource allocation. This typically takes under 60 seconds.
What happens to your data
Nothing. Your world, configurations, mods, and player data are completely preserved when changing RAM. The only thing that changes is how much memory your server can use.
Billing changes
Upgrading
When you upgrade mid-billing-cycle:
- - You're charged the prorated difference immediately
- - Future invoices reflect the new plan price
- - New resources are available instantly
Example: If you upgrade from €12/month to €24/month halfway through the month, you'll be charged €6 now, then €24 on your next billing date.
Downgrading
When you downgrade:
- - The change takes effect immediately
- - You receive account credit for the unused portion
- - Credit is automatically applied to future invoices
Before downgrading
Make sure your server can run on fewer resources. If you're currently using close to your RAM limit, downgrading may cause performance issues or crashes. Check your resource usage in the dashboard first.

All servers are priced at €3 per GB of RAM per month. Here's what we recommend:
