Creating your first server

Last updated: December 2024

Getting your first game server up and running on Realm.fun takes less than 60 seconds. This guide walks you through the entire process.

Step 1: Choose your game

From the homepage, browse our list of supported games. Click on the game you want to host—whether it's Minecraft, Rust, Valheim, Palworld, or any other title we support.

Each game card shows you the starting price and key features. Click "Get Started" to proceed.

Step 2: Choose your RAM

All servers cost €3 per GB of RAM per month. Choose based on your needs:

  • - 4 GB (€12/mo): Perfect for small groups of 2-10 friends
  • - 8 GB (€24/mo): For medium communities up to 30 players
  • - 16 GB (€48/mo): For large servers with heavy mods

Not sure which to pick? Start with 4 GB. You can always upgrade later with one click, and your world/data transfers automatically.

Step 3: Pick your region

Choose the server location closest to you and your players for the lowest latency:

  • - Europe - France: Best for Western/Central Europe
  • - Europe - Poland: Best for Eastern Europe
  • - North America - Canada: Best for NA East

Step 4: Create account & pay

If you haven't already, create an account with your email or sign in with Discord/Google. Then enter your payment details. We accept all major credit cards through Stripe.

Remember: you have a 24-hour money-back guarantee. If you're not happy for any reason, just let us know.

Step 5: You're live!

That's it. Your server deploys automatically—usually in under 60 seconds. You'll see your server's IP address and port in the dashboard. Copy it, paste it into your game, and start playing.

What's next?

Now that your server is running, you might want to connect to it, invite friends, or install some mods.
